Getting Started With Nitro Powered Remote Controlled Cars
What Will Need to Get Started
Most of the ready to run remote controlled car kits (RTR) will include everything you need to get started in the box, You also can purchase an unassembled or an almost ready to run kit but you'll likely need a few additional accessories to get your vehicle started.
In order to get your nitro remote controlled car or truck to run under control you'll need a radio control with receiver and two servos, the nitro engine, and a way to start the engine. Of course you'll also need nitro fuel made specifically for nitro remote controlled cars and trucks to get your vehicle and the engine up and running. These nitro gas powered cars don't run on regular gas fuel from the pump, so make sure you get the right kind of fuel.

I would caution you about the mistake most beginners (and a lot of experienced racers) make is driving too fast and being out of control. The steering and throttle controls on the radio are not on and off switches! Getting in the throttle smoothly usually will be a much faster way around the track. Your car will turn and act more predictably with a soft touch, than with a jerky and abrupt change of direction. Before going all out or racing, be sure you can navigate the car around the track staying under control. After that, you will be ready for competition.
